Let’s get real for a second, friend
We often say we want Christmas to be about Jesus but it ends up being a lot more about the decorations, presents, get-togethers, and holiday food.
The other truth here is that there’s absolutely nothing wrong with celebration. In fact, I believe we, as believers, don’t celebrate enough! We kind of go through life without doing something to commemorate the really good things that are happening.
Christmas is THE most important holiday of the whole year and that’s because it’s the day we celebrate our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ leaving His glorious Heavenly home to be born as a human being- to walk among us, talk among us, and ultimately live 33 years to serve mankind.

While we do celebrate with all the things at Christmastime, I was so deeply impressed last year to write 12 devotions for the family to help us teach our kids the true reason why we get to celebrate in such a lavish way.
There is nothing I want more for my daughter than to have a relationship with Jesus. It is my # 1 goal as a parent.
One way I can do this is by teaching her about the true, good news of Jesus’ birth and His life of servanthood.
